Boisterous mirth; merriment; jollity. --Goldsmith.

Note: Hilarity differs from joy: the latter, excited by good
      news or prosperity, is an affection of the mind; the
      former, produced by social pleasure, drinking, etc.,
      which rouse the animal spirits, is more demonstrative.
